Qatar releases 8 Indian Navy officers previously sentenced to death

Qatar has released eight former Indian naval officers previously on death row.

The men were reportedly charged with spying for Israel though neither India nor Qatar confirmed the charges.

Their death sentence, handed in October, was dropped in December.

Donald Trump's NATO comment sparks backlash from White House and European leaders

There's been a backlash from the White House and from leaders across Europe to Donald Trump's comments about NATO.

At a campaign rally on Saturday the former president said the United States might not come to the aid of members of the alliance who aren't contributing enough to defence spending.

US calls Israel's actions in Gaza 'over the top'

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for a "massive operation" in Rafah, in the south of Gaza.

Donald Trump wins in a landslide in Nevada

Former US President Donald Trump has swept to victory in the Republican Party's caucus in Nevada, taking home a whopping 99% of the vote.  


It means he'll win all the state's delegates as part of a system used in the United States to choose a Presidential nominee, a race in which he comfortably leads Nikki Haley, who this time wasn't even on the ballot.

BRITISH NEWSPAPER GROUP SETTLES PRIVACY CLAIMS WITH PRINCE HARRY

A British newspaper group has decided to pay Prince Harry $500,000 in damages, plus legal costs, rather than take to trial more than a hundred alleged breaches of his privacy.

The King's youngest son proved Mirror Group Newspapers had hacked his phone, and engaged in other illegal methods of news gathering at trial last year.

That conclusion was reached for 15 articles. Friday's settlement avoids a court case to go through the dozens more.
