US STRIKES YEMEN TARGETS

The US has carried out fresh airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen.

Indian state to set to table contentious Uniform Civil Code bill

Amid heightened security, an Indian state ruled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party is set to debate a contentious new common personal law this week.

Zee says it can go to tribunal to enforce Sony merger deal

India's Zee Entertainment says it can ask a tribunal to enforce a $10 billion merger with Sony's Indian unit, which was planned but later scrapped by Sony.

California faces "life-threatening" flooding

The US state of California is facing heavy rain and snowfall, with
authorities issuing flood warnings authorities are describing as
"life-threatening".

Around 94% of the population - 37 million people - are now under flood
alerts, while some communities have been told to evacuate.

The state is forecast to experience several days of extreme weather.

US launches strikes on Iranian proxies in Iraq and eastern Syria

The US has begun air strikes against Iran-backed militants in Iraq and eastern Syria, in reprisals for last weekend's killing of 3 American troops in Jordan.


At least half a dozen sites were targeted according the Pentagon, which has said the US military action could continue for several days.

Anger over migrants accused of attacking NYPD

A search is underway for a group of migrants accused of attacking police officers in New York.

Greta Thunberg acquitted of UK public order offence

US jobs data smashes expectations

The US added 353,000 jobs in January, a much better showing than
