Canadian official says India is cooperating on Sikh separatist murder probe

Canada says that India is cooperating and that bilateral ties are improving after tensions escalated over the killing of a Sikh separatist leader in British Columbia last year.

Jody Thomas, who is prime minister Justin Trudeau's national security adviser, made the comments to CTV.

China's property giant Evergrande ordered to liquidate

A Hong Kong court has ordered the liquidation of property giant Evergrande.

Japan's moon probe resumes mission after regaining power

Japan’s space agency says its lunar probe has begun functioning again after losing power on the moon’s surface last week.

The ‘SLIM’ explorer lost power days after successfully landing on the moon on January 19, but JAXA says it is now operational and restarting its mission.

Trump ordered to pay $83 mil in defamation case

Donald Trump has been ordered to pay more than $80 million to writer E. Jean Carroll by a Manhattan jury.


On Friday, the jury found comments made by the former US President in 2019 were defamatory.


Trump called the verdict 'absolutely ridiculous', and claimed the case was a 'witch hunt' against him.

U.S. journalist to be held another two months by Russia, without trial

Evan Gerschkovich, who is being held in Russia, has once again had his detention extended – even before his case has made it to court.

Trump defamation trial drawing to a close

Donald Trump stormed out of a Manhattan courthouse on Friday, where he is facing a defamation lawsuit.


The former US President could be forced to pay millions of dollars in damages to writer E. Jean Carroll,  who is suing Trump for defamation over denials that he sexually abused her.

But the ICJ stopped short of calling for an immediate ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
