India's MEA says Qatari court drops death penalty for eight Indians

India's ministry of external affairs says a court in Qatar has dropped the death sentences of eight former Indian naval officers.

The men who were handed down the death penalty in October this year were accused of spying, but neither India or Qatar confirmed these charges.

US and Mexico vow to curb migration flows

The United States and Mexico are hailing what both countries call "important and productive" talks aimed at stemming the flow of migrants to the US.

UN warns of deteriorating human rights in West Bank
