90,000 police officers on duty in France for 31 December

90,000 police officers will be on duty across France on New Year's Eve, as authorities announce their security and safety plan for revellers celebrating the start of 2024.

Budapest NYE tourism increase


Hungary's New Year festivities are heating up with a sharp percent increase in hotel bookings compared to last year. The Hungarian Tourism Agency says that while Budapest remains a popular choice, reservations in countryside destinations have also risen.

US and Mexico vow to curb migration flows

The United States and Mexico are hailing what both countries call "important and productive" talks aimed at stemming the flow of migrants to the US. 


America's top diplomat Antony Blinken visited Mexico on Wednesday to meet President Andrés Manuel López Obrado, at a time when border crossings into the US are hitting record numbers, with often as many as 10,000 migrants reaching the southern border per day, as thousands more trek through Mexico.

UN warns of deteriorating human rights in West Bank

The United Nations warns that the human rights situation in the
occupied West Bank is rapidly deteriorating.

In a new report the UN states that 300 Palestinians, including 77
children, have been killed there since October 7th.
