The US Federal Reserve has left interest rates unchanged, but signaled
it plans to make three rate cuts next year.

It follows an intense 21 months of rate hikes to try and get inflation
under control.

Joe Biden's son attacks Congressional inquiry into his family

President Joe Biden's son, Hunter, has defied a subpoena from US lawmakers ordering him to appear behind closed doors as part of a Congressional investigation into alleged corruption.


Republicans in the House of Representatives have opened an impeachment inquiry in the President, accusing him of improperly benefitting from Hunter's business foreign business dealings.

UK DEFENCE MINISTRY FINED $400K FOR AFGHANISTAN DATA BREACH

Britain's defence ministry has been fined nearly $400,000 by the UK's information watchdog, for potentially exposing the details of its Afghan interpreters to the Taliban.

India votes in favour of UN resolution demanding Gaza ceasefire

For the first time since the Israel-Hamas war began, India backed a UN resolution calling for a ceasefire.

Indian officials refused to explain the change in position even as experts have questioned whether this signals a change in India's pro-Israel stance.

Biden urges Republicans to fund Ukraine conflict amid stalemate

US President Joe Biden has urged Congress to approve billions of
dollars for Ukraine, warning that not to do so would be a "Christmas
gift" for Russia's leader.
