Delhi air quality deteriorates once again

Air quality in India's capital New Delhi has once again dipped, with most parts of the city recording pollution levels close to 500, ten times global permissible limits.

This despite the Indian government saying that incidents of stubble burning in neighbouring states like Punjab and Haryana declined significantly against last year.

Japan concerned about continued US military Osprey use

Japan is concerned the US military is continuing to fly Osprey aircraft despite an official request to ground them until their safety is confirmed. 


The government made the request after a CV22 Osprey crashed into the ocean in west Japan with eight US military personnel onboard. 


One person has been confirmed dead and the search is continuing for the remaining passengers.

Blinken says Israel must protect civilians when fighting resumes

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has warned efforts must be made to prevent violence in Gaza from enveloping the region.


The US' top diplomat met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday.


This comes after a temporary truce between Israel and Hamas was extended for a seventh day.
