Israel-Hamas ceasefire extended for 2 days

Suspect charged over shooting of Palestinian students in US

A man has appeared in court following the shooting of three Palestinian college students in the US state of Vermont.


Suspect Jason J. Eaton was arrested on Saturday and his apartment was searched.


He's been charged with three counts of second-degree attempted murder, and is being held without bail.


Eaton has pleaded not guilty.

Six teenagers go on trial in France over links to beheading of teacher in 2020

Relative calm remains in Sierra Leone after an attack on a military barracks by unidentified gunmen in the capital, Freetown.

Biden proposes extension to Gaza humanitarian pause

US President Joe Biden says he's hopeful that the current pause in hostilities between Israel and Hamas could be extended.


The President spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday after Hamas released another 17 hostages in exchange for 39 Palestinians detained by the Israelis.
