Russia is deepening bilateral and economic ties with Mali as Western influence in the West African nation declines.

Mali has signed a deal with Russia to build a gold refinery in the capital Bamako to improve the nation's economy.

Ukrainian trucker dies at Polish border blockade

A 56-year old Ukrainian trucker has died after waiting almost three days on the Polish side of the border to cross into Ukraine. Rescuers say they are 'hours away' from pulling out trapped Indian workers

Rescuers say they are hours away from evacuating 41 construction workers who have been trapped in a collapsed tunnel in India for nearly two weeks now.

They were building the tunnel when a part of it caved in, due to a landslide.

Operations were halted on Thursday morning local time after teams encountered iron rods that obstructed drilling operations.

NY Governor: US-Canada bridge explosion not "terrorist activity”

The New York state Governor says there is "no evidence" the vehicle
explosion at the US-Canada border was "terrorist activity".

Two people died after a car went airborne, and crashed in a border
checkpoint booth at the Rainbow Bridge crossing near Niagara Falls.

The FBI is investigating and earlier the four border crossings in the
area were closed.

Counter-terrorism alert issued after bridge explosion on Canada-US border

A vehicle has exploded at a toll booth on the Rainbow Bridge that connects Canada with the United States near Niagra Falls.

Hostage families await news ahead of release

Families in Israel are waiting to find out if their loved ones are
part of the newly-agreed hostage release.

Starting on Thursday, Hamas plans to free 50 hostages from Gaza over
the next four days, in return for 150 Palestinian hostages who are
being held in Israel.

The agreement will also see a pause in fighting for a four-day period,
