Nigeria Accuses Finland of Encouraging Separatist to Wreak Havoc

Military authorities in Nigeria have accused Finland of encouraging a separatist, Simon Ekpa to wreak havoc in Nigeria.


Nigeria's Defence Chief, Christopher Musa says Ekpa has been declaring sit-at-home orders across the south-east part of the country.

Rescuers hope to evacuate 41 trapped Indian workers in the next 2 days

Eleven days in, an ongoing operation to rescue 41 workers trapped in a collapsed tunnel in India's Uttarakhand region is at a crucial juncture.

Rescuers say they are hopeful that the workers could be rescued in the next two days as the resumption of drilling with the help of a heavy machine is likely to speed up rescue efforts.

Chinese police arrest CEO of video-game livestreaming platform, but no reason given

Fed minutes snap Wall Street hot streak

A five day hot streak has come to an end on Wall Street following the
release of minutes from the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting.

With inflation remaining stubbornly high the Fed provided no guidance
on when it will start lowering interest rates.

Gaza hostage deal expected

Reports suggest a deal to release around 50 hostages held in Gaza has
been reached.

The agreement will see a multi-day ceasefire in return for Hamas
releasing Israeli and international hostages.

Musk sues nonprofit over antisemitic accusation

Elon Musk has sued Media Matters for America accusing the nonprofit of
trying to drive advertisers from the social media platform X.

This comes after the advocacy group accused the site formerly known as
Twitter of posting adverts alongside antisemitic content.

Musk was recently accused of antisemitism after seemingly endorsing a
post that accused Jewish communities of advocating for hatred against

Standoff continues at OpenAI
