Hundreds leave Gaza as border with Egypt opens

Thousands of people remain in Gaza at the Rafah border point hoping to
cross over into Egypt.

Earlier around 400 people were able to leave as Egypt opened up the
crossing for the first time since fighting began more than three weeks
ago.

Biden expected to have tough conversation with Xi in face-to-face meeting

US president Joe Biden is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping later this month in California according to the White House.

US Federal Reserve leaves interest rates unchanged

Interest rates in the United States will remain on hold after the Federal Reserve decided not to raise them from their 22-year high.

WeWork expected to file for bankruptcy amid mounting debts

First civilians leave Gaza

The first civilians have left the Gaza Strip, leaving the enclave by
the Rafah crossing with Egypt.

It's the first time in more than three weeks of bombardment by Israel
that people have been able to leave.

Around 20 Palestinians and 110 dual nationals have entered Egypt.

Hundreds more could leave by the end of Wednesday.

Serbian President calls snap elections for December

Egypt-Gaza border crossing opens to select injured Palestinians and foreign nationals
