Man arrested in New York for stalking a woman from his plane

A New York man has pleaded not guilty after he was arrested for
harassment after allegedly stalking a woman by flying his small plane
over her home.
The woman had obtained a restraining order against Michael Arnold but

French troops to begin withdrawing from Niger this week


France is set to begin withdrawing its troops from Niger this week.

The decision to end its counter terrorism operations in the West African region comes after a fall out with the military junta currently ruling the country after staging a coup in July.

There are fears that the insecurity in Niger and other Sahel regions could worsen after the French troops leave.

Labour Look To General Election After Convincing Scottish By-Election Win

The Scottish Labour Party have convincingly won a by-election, that's being seen as a key test ahead of the UK general election.


They won the seat of Rutherglen and Hamilton West near Glasgow, with almost 60% of the vote.

India confirms it wants Canada to reduce diplomatic staff presence

Amid an ongoing diplomatic row, India has confirmed it has asked Canada to reduce its diplomatic representation in the country.

Media reports earlier this week claimed New Delhi had told Ottawa it needs to repatriate 41 diplomats by October 10. Canada has 62 diplomats serving in India across four missions.

This follows allegations by Canada that India was 'potentially' involved in the killing of  Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June.
