Tanzania President Samia postpones constitutional review.

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has pushed forward plans to develop a new constitution. She revealed that the country has more pressing issues currently and that the processes will be done at least after the next elections.

US military restarts drone, crewed aircraft operations in post-coup Niger


The United States military has resumed its drone and crew aircraft operations in Niger after an agreement with the military government in the West African country.

It comes more than a month after a coup halted the US military operations from its  airbases in Niger.

Ugandan Police Ban Bobbi Wine Rallies

Nigeria’s Government Predicts Heavy Rainfall, Flooding in 13 States

Delhi urges US to investigate after clip shows cop laughing about Indian student's death

U.S. stocks mixed on disappointing inflation data

Central European countries determined to maintain Ukraine grain ban

Central European countries say they will ban Ukrainian grain imports if the EU doesn't extend its existing restrictions, which are set to expire on September 15.

Republicans pursue Joe Biden impeachment after inquiry opened into President over business dealings

Leading Republican Party lawmakers in the US House of Representatives say their investigation into President Joe Biden is "about transparency and answers for the American people, and accountability" for what they call "the biggest corruption scandal in history."


The comments at Wednesday's Congressional press conference come a day after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the opening of a formal impeachment inquiry to look into "allegations of abuse of power and obstruction" in relation to Mr Biden and his family's business dealings.

US murderer arrested after two weeks on run

A convicted murderer who has been on the run in the US for almost two
weeks has been captured by police.

Danelo Cavalcante was surrounded by several dozen police officers - no
shots were fired.

He had escaped from a prison in Pennsylvania, where he was serving a
life sentence for murdering his ex-girlfriend in front of her two
young children.

State Police Lieutenant Colonel George Bivens gave details about
Cavalcante's arrest.

Morocco criticised for restricting foreign aid after earthquake

Niger Junta Ends Military Accord With Benin Amid Regional Standoff

Niger's military Junta has said it would end a military pact with neighbouring Benin republic, accusing it of authorising the deployment of troops on its territory for a possible military intervention by West African bloc, ECOWAS.

Kim-Putin meet in Russia's Far East, say will fight 'imperalism together'

Kim Jong Un and Vladmir Putin have held delegation level talks in Russia's Far East.

Putin has said that Russia will help North Korea build satellites, after Pongyang failed twice this year to launch them.
