US prepares to approve Covid booster

The US Food and Drug Administration is expected to approve the latest
Covid-19 booster as cases rise, as early as Monday.

It comes ahead of the annual cold and flu season, which could be made
more deadly this year with R.S.V.

US Congress faces potential shutdown, as lawmakers zero in on Biden impeachment

US lawmakers have just days left to avert a potential government shutdown, as they return to the House of Representatives this week following a summer recess.


Congress's lower chamber must pass a temporary stopgap funding measure by the end of the month, but members of the majority Republican Party are ready to put up a fight.

U.S. marks 22 years since 9/11

Memorial events are taking place across the United States to mark 22
years since the attacks on 9/11.

Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives when hijackers crashed commercial
planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in
Pennsylvania.

It remains the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil.

Morocco earthquake death toll nears 2,500

The death toll from the earthquake in Morocco has now risen to almost
2,500 as rescuers continue to dig for survivors with their bare hands.

The remote mountainous area where the quake hit is making it hard for
heavy machinery to reach the worst-hit villages.

Many roads in the mountains remain impassable.

Luis Rubiales resigns but could face charges over Jenni Hermoso kiss


Luis Rubiales has vowed to "defend" his "innocence" after stepping down as president of the Spanish Football Federation.

At least 26 killed in Nigeria Ferry Accident

Authorities in Nigeria say at least 26 people have died and several others were missing after a ferry capsized on a reservoir in the north central State of Niger on Sunday.

US prepares to mark 9/11 terror attacks anniversary

The US is preparing to mark the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

President Joe Biden will mark the occasion with serving military and
their families in Alaska.

However, many families of the almost 3,000 people who were killed
still want answers, and for those who orchestrated the attacks to be
held accountable.

Brett Eagleson's father was killed in the World Trade Center and says
families deserve to know more about Saudi Arabia's possible
involvement.

Rescuers in Morocco race to find survivors

G20 summit kicks off amid differences over Russia-Ukraine war
