US President Joe Biden has rejected a set of demands proposed by Guantanamo Bay detainees accused of orchestrating the September 11th terrorist attacks.
The defendants had put forward the demands as a basis for negotiations over a potential plea deal, but Mr Biden refused to accept the conditions, as Benji Hyer reports.

The UK Justice Secretary confirmed on Thursday that an independent investigation will take place into the prison escape of a terror suspect.
The announcement to MP's in Parliament comes as political pressure mounts on the government over the escape, and the continuing nationwide manhunt for Daniel Khalife who escaped prison on Wednesday morning.

India's foreign minister Dr S Jaishankar has admitted that the G20 summit is happening in a very turbulent global environment, as India struggles to build consensus on a joint declaration that will be issued at the end of the gathering.
