Trump televised Georgia hearing wraps up

A judge in the US state of Georgia has held the first televised
hearing for Donald Trump's election interference case.

The former president, and 18 other defendants, pleaded not guilty
ahead of Wednesday's hearing, waiving their right for an in-person
arraignment.

However, two defendants are trying to 'sever' their cases from the
other co-defendants to help them get a faster trial.

Prosecutors want to try the 19 together in one trial, and predict it could last four months and involve calling 150 witnesses.

The Georgia case is the only one to be broadcast live.

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee is moving forward with the proceedings.
