Final Georgia election interference defendants plead not guilty

All 19 defendants in the election interference case in the US state of
Georgia have now pleaded not guilty.

They all waived their right for an in-person arraignment ahead of the
Wednesday deadline, just as former president Donald Trump did last
week.

Burning Man attendees head home as rain dries

Tens of thousands of Burning Man attendees have finally left the Nevada desert where the festival takes place as the muddy conditions that left many stranded over the weekend improved.


The annual burning of a massive wooden man that marks the close of the festival took place Monday night, after several postponements.

Mitch McConnell's 'freeze' was not a stroke

week, according to the US Capitol's physician.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s impeachment trial begins

The impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton got underway Monday. The firebrand Republican and Trump ally is accused of abusing his office to protect a friend and campaign donor who is under federal investigation. In May, the Texas House filed 20 articles of impeachment against Paxton, who is only the third elected official to be impeached in Texas history.  Toni Waterman has more.

Former head of Proud Boys set to sentenced

The former leader of the Proud Boys is set to be sentenced Tuesday for

Russia says it shot down Ukrainian drones over Moscow suburbs

Beijing claims BRI has boosted Italian exports after foreign minister visit


Beijing says Rome's participation in the Belt & Road Initiative or BRI has led to a boost in exports from Italy to China.

Japan boosts aid to seafood sector as Fukushima fishers consider legal action

NK leader set to meet Putin in Russia

The North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is set to make a rare trip out of his country to Russia - to discuss supplying weapons for use against Ukraine with President Vladmir Putin, according to the New York Times.


On Wednesday the White House warned it had intelligence to show that military cooperation between the two countries was "actively advancing".

Sunak says he's not to blame for school concrete crisis

The UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says it's wrong to blame him for the escalating crisis surrounding unsafe concrete material in English schools.

Ukraine says Russian drones detonated in Romania

The Ukrainian foreign ministry says Russian drones detonated on Romanian territory after an overnight attack targeting the port of Izmail along the Danube River.
