US markets fell for a second straight day amid renewed speculation that interest rates could keep going up.

Minutes from the most recent Fed meeting showed the central bank still sees significant risk from inflation.

US appeals court rules to restrict abortion pill, meds remain available for now

The future of the abortion pill mifepristone in the US is once again in jeopardy after a federal appeals court on Wednesday ruled to restrict its use. The pill, which is used in more than half of all abortions, will stay on the market for now, but if the case is taken up by the Supreme Court, as expected, the restrictions will go into effect. US President Joe Biden to travel to wildfire-ravaged Hawaii next week, says White House

US President Joe Biden will travel with the First Lady to Maui on Monday, where they'll meet with first responders and survivors, and survey damage from wildfires which last week ravaged the island. 


The death toll from the state of Hawaii's worst natural disaster in history, and the country's deadliest US wildfire in more than a century, has now topped 100 people. Officials say it's expected to rise further. 



Thousands others have been made homeless.

England Through to Women's World Cup Final After Beating Australia 3-1

England have beaten Women's World Cup hosts Australia 3-1 in the semi-final in Sydney. 


The result sees the Lionesses progress to the final for the first time in their history.

Elephants Kill Two People in Western Uganda

UK inflation falls to 6.8%

ECOWAS Military Chiefs to Meet, Discuss Niger Republic Crisis This Week

Flood fury continues in north India, killing 57

The death toll due to floods and landslides in north India has gone up to 57.
