Donald Trump hits back following Georgia indictment

3,000 people moved to safety from fire in southern France

3,000 people have been moved to safety in southern France after a fire in a tourist area.

Three campsites were evacuated on Monday evening local time due to a wildfire in the far south of the country near the Spanish border.

UK ONLINE GROOMING CASES HIT RECORD HIGH

New research shows the number of online grooming crimes against children hit a record high in the UK in the year to March.

Children's charity the NSPCC says there were 6,350 offences - up 82% since the same period in 2017.

It's calling for MPs to back long-awaited online safety legislation when it's debated in parliament next month.

In total, 150 games, apps, and websites were used to target children, with 5,500 offences taking place against those of primary school-age.

Rani Govender from the NSPCC says lockdowns during the pandemic also contributed to the trend.

Death toll from Himalayan landslides at 50

Landslides and record flooding have killed more than 50 people in north India as rain batters the country's Himalayan states.

Rescue operations continue, with officials warning the death toll could rise further.
