Mexican officials are working to identify the bodies of two people found in the Rio Grande [RIO GRAND] river bordering the US state of Texas.

A US man has been sentenced to death for an attack on a synagogue that left 11 dead.
Robert Bowers burst into the Tree of Life Synagogue in 2018 and shot worshippers during Saturday morning prayers.
It was the deadliest antisemitic attack in US history.

Police Marine units in Uganda are conducting a search for about 20 missing persons after a boat capsized on lake victoria on Wednesday.

The number of viewers tuning in to watch traditional broadcast television each week in the UK has seen the sharpest fall since records began.
The data from the industry regulator Ofcom shows the proportion of people watching traditional TV each week has declined from 83% in 2021 to 79% in 2022.
As competition from streaming services grows, people are also watching broadcast television for a shorter period each day.

Social media platform X, which was previously known as Twitter, is trying to quash a court ruling that it was not compliant with orders from the Indian government to remove content.
