The UKs ruling Conservative Party have lost 2 of 3 by elections that took place in England.
Critics say it shows how unpopular the Government and their policies are. The next general election is expected to be held next year, with the Conservatives a long way behind in the polls.
They did narrowly manage to retain the seat vacated by former Prime Minister Boris Johnson - it's thought a controversial local issue about emission zones introduced by the Labour Mayor of London was the reason they managed to hold on.
Meanwhile in Somerset and North Yorkshire, the Conservatives lost seats that previously had huge majorities of around 20 thousand.

Henry Kissinger, the one-hundred-year-old former American diplomat, has upstaged the US climate envoy John Kerry by meeting the Chinese president Xi Jinping on a private trip to Beijing.
Mr Kerry shook hands with China's premier and Vice-President this week on his four-day visit to restart talks on fighting global warming. But he didn't sit down with President Xi, who told Mr Kissinger that he'll never forget "old friends" like him.

The US state of Alabama is set to resume executions, after they were paused due to a string of botched lethal injection attempts.
Prisoner James Barber is due to be put to death on Thursday… he was convicted of robbing and killing a 75-year-old woman in 2001.
Twenty-seven states across America still have the death penalty.

Supermarkets in the UK have been criticised for making it difficult for shoppers to find the best deals.
An investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority found some supermarkets were making it difficult for customers to compare products, especially when it came to multi packs and special offers.
They also found that when it came to products such as tea bags, some were being priced per unit and others were being priced by weight - making comparisons difficult.
The regulator has written to the big stores telling them to make changes, or action will be taken.
