Inflation in the US rose at its lowest pace in more than two years, according to new figures from the Labor Department for the month of June.

NATO leaders say they won't commit to a time frame to allow Ukraine to become a member of the alliance, despite criticism from Ukrainian president Volodomyr Zelenskyy, who attended the NATO summit in Lithuania.
At the close of day one of the summit, the alliance published a communique saying that it will be in a position to extend an invitation to Ukraine "when allies agree and conditions are met."
There was one concession for Kyiv though - making the eventual inclusion of Ukraine into NATO, a one step not two step process.

A federal judge has ruled that Microsoft can proceed with its acquisition of the video game maker Activision, a major blow to the Federal Trade Commission which is seeking to block the merger over antitrust concerns.
The 69 billion dollar deal is the largest-ever acquisition in the gaming industry.

Fixed mortgage rates in the UK have reached their highest level in 15 years.
New figures released on Tuesday showed that the average two-year fixed mortgage rate increased to 6.66% today.
This came just before lenders faced questioning by MPs about the impact the mortgage market is having on customers.
