Sudanese medical students accepted at Muhimbili National Hospital

Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) has received 150 medical students from the University of Medicine, Science, and Technology (UMST), Khartoum, Sudan.

The United States government has called on Rwanda to immediately stop supporting the M23 rebels in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo and pull its troops out of Congolese territory. The call was made in a press statement by the spokesperson of the US Department of State, Matthew Miller. Violence in eastern DRC has left many dead and displaced thousands of people. Rwanda has denied supporting the rebels.

India's IndiGo places record order with Airbus for 500 planes

India budget carrier IndiGo has placed a record order for 500 Airbus planes, in what is the largest purchase ever made by a commercial airline.

The deal – which is worth 55 billion US dollars - was announced on the first day of the Paris Airshow.

Airbus and IndiGo sign world's biggest aircraft deal worth $55bn

Airbus and the Indian airline IndiGo have signed the world's biggest aircraft deal during the first day of the 2023 Paris Air Show.


The Indian low-cost carrier has ordered 500 planes from the European aircraft manufacturer in a deal worth $55bn.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the United States remains "clear eyed" about the challenges posed by China, but insists there is agreement on both sides to stabilise the bilateral relationship.

Italian government limits Chinese state-owned firm's influence over Pirelli


The Italian government has blocked China's Sinochem from appointing the CEO of Pirelli.

State-owned Sinochem is the tyre manufacturer's biggest shareholder, holding 37 percent.
