Slim gains on Wall Street during quiet session

The S&P 500 has closed at its highest level so far this year.

Economic headwinds have taken a toll on stocks in recent months but
robust economic data in the face of stubborn inflation has provided
Wall Street with a boost.

PGA Tour and LIV Golf agree to merge, ending feud

Donald Trump lashes out at DOJ over documents investigation

Donald Trump has protested his innocence by unleashing a torrent of social media posts lambasting the US Department of Justice, a day after his lawyers met with DOJ officials amid an investigation into the former President's handling of classified documents.


On his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed he "did nothing wrong," despite the FBI finding dozens of sensitive files at his Mar-a-Lago estate last summer.

Pilot seen slumped in cockpit before crash near Washington, D.C.

Aviation experts are suggesting that the cabin of the plane that crashed near the U.S. capital on Sunday, lost pressure before the incident.


The private flight flew over some of the country's most restrictive airspace, and U.S. fighter jets were scrambled - causing alarm when people heard a sonic boom.


The National Transportation Safety Board is on the scene, to complete a full investigation.

Labour Unions in Nigeria Suspend Planned Strike Over Petrol Subsidy, To Reconvene June 19

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their planned strike scheduled for Wednesday.


The decision followed a meeting by the representatives of the Federal Government and the Organised Labour at the Presidential Villa over fuel subsidy removal.

Prince Harry arrives in court to give evidence

Ukraine accuses Russia of blowing up hydroelectric dam

Thousands of homes are at risk of flooding after the Ukrainian government accused Russia of blowing up a hydroelectric dam.

At least 16,000 people live in the affected area and are being evacuated.

The dam at Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region supplies water to cool the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
