Uganda Meets Russia Over Grain

Uganda has urged all the parties involved in the Russia – Ukraine crisis to consider the plight of African countries that depend on grain for wheat and bread.

 

This follows a meeting between Uganda's Foreign Minister, Jeje Odongo, and Russia's Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

UK TO BAN RUSSIAN DIAMOND IMPORTS

The UK is banning Russian diamond imports as part of new sanctions over the war in Ukraine.

London will also introduce legislation that blocks Russian-origin copper, aluminium and nickel imports.

US Supreme Court strikes down change to controversial internet law

In a major boost for Silicon Valley, the US Supreme Court has ruled that social media firms are not liable for abetting terrorists.  


The decision on Thursday follows a series of lawsuits seeking to blame Twitter, Google and Facebook for recommending Islamic State videos, helping the militant group recruit members by instilling fear online.

Texas bans gender-affirming care for minors
