The New York Times has lost its Twitter verified badge, after refusing to pay for the blue checkmark.
The social media site's billionaire owner Elon Musk has been pushing $8-per-month Twitter Blue subscription as a way to remain verified on the platform.
He called the newspaper, which charges for its own subscription service, hypocritical, "unreadable," and branded its coverage as "propaganda."

Donald Trump is travelling to New York City on Monday ahead of a court hearing on Tuesday.
The former president of the United States was indicted last week - the exact charges remain unknown, but relate to hush money allegedly paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Donald Trump's lawyers insist he is "ready for a fight" as the country nervously awaits his expected appearance on Tuesday at a Manhattan court following his indictment by a grand jury.
Mr Trump will become the first former US President to face criminal charges for his alleged role in a 2016 hush money payment to cover-up an affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has called for the "immediate release" of Americans Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan, held on Russian soil.
