39 dead at US-Mexico migrant detention centre

At least 39 people have died in a fire at a migrant detention facility near the US- Mexico border.


Mexico's National Migration Institute said the blaze started in the sleeping area of its facility in Ciudad Juárez.


It's one of the worst fires in recent years in Mexico, which has seen record levels of border crossings.

A 28-year-old woman has killed three students and three adults at an
