Grand jury hearing Trump case will not meet Wednesday

The grand jury who could determine whether to indict Donald Trump will not meet on Wednesday, according to new reports.


The former US president could face charges of falsifying business records over payments he allegedly signed off to adult movie actress Stormy Daniels.

Euro hits 5-week high against U.S. dollar


The Euro hit a five-week high against the U.S. dollar on Wednesday.

The increase came after the President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, said inflation in the Eurozone is still "too high."

US Fed expected to raise rates despite banking turmoil

The US Federal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates by a
quarter of a percent on Wednesday despite the recent turmoil in the
banking sector.

Some economists have urged America's central bank to pause on rate
hikes to help add confidence following the collapse of Silicon Valley
Bank and Signature Bank.

Surveillance footage shows Black man held down at US psychiatric hospital

Surveillance footage has been released of police officers and hospital workers piling on a Black man at a US state psychiatric hospital


Irvo Otieno was taken into emergency custody earlier this month after experiencing mental health distress.


Footage shows the 28-year-old being held on the ground for 11 minutes before his body stopped moving.

Los Angeles worker strike to shut schools for three days

Security tightened in case Trump is arrested in New York

Yellen: US banking system “sound”, but govt ready with further support

Taiwan President to transit through US but no word on Speaker meeting

Taiwan says President Tsai Ing-wen will make two stops in the United States on her way to and from Central America but there was no word on whether a highly anticipated meeting with US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will take place.
