US imposes new sanctions to mark Ukraine anniversary

The US has imposed fresh sanctions on more than 200 people and
companies to mark the one year anniversary of Russia's invasion of
Ukraine.

In a show of solidarity US President Joe Biden also spoke to other G7
leaders and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Texas judge could decide the fate of abortion pills in America

A Texas judge could issue a ruling as soon as today (Friday) that could wipe out access to medication abortion across the country, including in states where abortions are legal. The case focuses on one of the two key ingredients in pill abortion - mifepristone. It was approved by the FDA 23 years ago and has repeatedly been shown to be safe and effective. But anti-abortion medical groups filed a lawsuit in November claiming the FDA didn't adequately investigate the drug's safety. Toni Waterman has more.

Investors digest higher-than-expected inflation figures (PREVIEW)

China carries out coal mine safety checks after deadly collapse

Ukraine Foreign Minister welcomes U.N vote

Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba has welcomed the U.N General
Assembly's vote in favor of a resolution for peace.
More than two thirds of member states voted in favor of the
resolution, while 32 countries including China and South Africa
abstained from the vote.
The resolution adopted by the General Assembly holds no legal weight
but further isolates Moscow on the world stage.

R. Kelly sentenced to two decades in jail for child sex abuse and pornography


A federal judge has sentenced singer R. Kelly to 20 years in prison for child sex crimes.
A jury in Chicago found him guilty of producing three videos of him sexually abusing his 14 year old goddaughter. He'll serve the sentence at the same time as a previous one for sex trafficking and racketeering.

Journalist shot dead reporting at scene of another fatal shooting

Three people have been shot dead in central Florida, including a 9-year-old girl and a TV journalist who was reporting on the killing of a young woman at the hands of the same suspected gunman in the same spot just hours prior.


Orlando's Spectrum News 13 identified the slain reporter as 24-year-old Dylan Lyons. 


19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses has been arrested for the fatal shootings, but a motive has yet to be established.

US GDP revised down as consumers spend less

The US economy grew at a slightly slower pace at the end of last year,
