Heavy Russian missile attacks reported in Ukraine

Officials in Kiev say the city's defenses have intercepted multiple
Russian missiles.

It comes following a day of attacks across the country with Ukraine's
energy infrastructure once again targeted.

FBI finds classified document at Pence home

FBI officials have found an additional classified document during a
search of former Vice President Mike Pence's home in Indiana.

The search was prompted by the discovery last month of around a dozen
papers with classified markings.

New object shot down over U.S. state of Alaska by air force

The White House has revealed that the U.S. shot down an unidentified object over Alaska on Friday.

It's nearly a week since a Chinese surveillance balloon was shot down after flying across the U.S.

Yahoo to cut 20% of workforce

Web services provider Yahoo is planning to lay off 20 percent of its workforce.


Its chief executive said it is "still hiring aggressively," and employees who lose their jobs will be considered for other roles.


This comes after several tech giants announced major cuts in recent months after mass hiring during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Quake victims in desparate need of aid

The death toll from the Turkish and Syria earthquakes has risen above 22,000.

Rescuers are continuing to search collapsed buildings.

But aid workers in northern Syria say people are in desperate need of
more help, after just a few UN trucks were able to get into the
country.

20 000 DEAD IN QUAKES
