Quake victims in desparate need of aid

The death toll from the Turkish and Syria earthquakes has risen above 22,000.

Rescuers are continuing to search collapsed buildings.

But aid workers in northern Syria say people are in desperate need of
more help, after just a few UN trucks were able to get into the
country.

Kenyatta Orders East African Regional Force Deployment to Eastern DR Congo

20 000 DEAD IN QUAKES

Over 20 000 people are now known to have died in Turkey and Syria following Monday's earthquakes.

The UK is building an on-the-ground emergency field hospital in Turkey to treat those critically injured.

Many survivors have now spent four days in freezing conditions without shelter, water and food.

Earthquake death toll passes 20,000

The death toll from the earthquake in Turkiye and Syria has now passed
20,000 people.

Rescue operations in towns and cities in both countries are now
continuing into the fourth night since Monday's deadly earthquake.

Earlier, six lorries carrying UN supplies managed to cross the border
from Turkiye into Syria - the first convoy of international aid that
has been able to enter the country.

US says Chinese balloon capable of collecting communications data

The Chinese balloon that flew above the U.S. for eight days was capable of collecting communication signals according to the US State Department.
