Zelenksy pushes for swift EU accession at Brussels summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky used a visit to Brussels to push for a speedy accession to the European Union. 

Ukraine was granted EU candidate status in 2022 and Zelensky hopes formal talks on membership of the bloc can start this year. 

But Brussels is avoiding talk of timelines; joining the EU usually takes years if not decades and involves hefty reforms.

Twitter users unable to tweet during outage

Twitter users were unable to post messages on Wednesday, and were told they had reached their daily limit - even if they had not sent any Tweets that day.

The social media platform experienced technical issues for around 90 minutes, forcing people to use scheduling tools instead.

Ukraine's President in Brussels pushing for more military aid, faster EU accession

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is in Brussels to urge EU leaders to provide more military aid for his country's armed forces.

He's also calling for Ukraine's application to join the bloc to be sped up.

Zelensky visited London and Paris on Wednesday, as the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion approaches later this month.

US says it will not impose sanctions on India for buying Russian Oil

Texas Walmart shooter pleads guilty to 90 federal charges

The man accused of killing 23 people at a Texas Walmart has pleaded guilty to federal hate crime and firearm charges.  Prosecutors say Patrick Crusius confessed to targeting Hispanic shoppers during the 2019 rampage and that he had posted white supremacist theories online in the hours before the attack. Suspected Lockerbie bomb-maker pleads not guilty
