Twitter users unable to tweet during outage

Twitter users were unable to post messages on Wednesday, and were told they had reached their daily limit - even if they had not sent any Tweets that day.


The social media platform experienced technical issues for around 90 minutes, forcing people to use scheduling tools instead.

Ukraine's President in Brussels pushing for more military aid, faster EU accession


Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is in Brussels to urge EU leaders to provide more military aid for his country's armed forces.

He's also calling for Ukraine's application to join the bloc to be sped up.

Zelensky visited London and Paris on Wednesday, as the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion approaches later this month.

QUAKE DEATHS PASS 16 000

The Disasters Emergency Committee has warned it could take years for Turkey and Syria to recover from this week's earthquakes.

It's leading a joint fundraising effort by 14 charities to provide shelter, food and medical aid to survivors.

More than 16 000 people are known to have died.

US says it will not impose sanctions on India for buying Russian Oil

Texas Walmart shooter pleads guilty to 90 federal charges

The man accused of killing 23 people at a Texas Walmart has pleaded guilty to federal hate crime and firearm charges.  Prosecutors say Patrick Crusius confessed to targeting Hispanic shoppers during the 2019 rampage and that he had posted white supremacist theories online in the hours before the attack. The mass shooting remains one of the worst in American history.

Earthquake death toll rises past 11,000

As the death toll caused by the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria climbs beyond 11 thousand, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been defending his government's response saying it's not possible to prepare for disasters of this magnitude.

Balloon part of a global surveillance program operated by China for years

Suspected Lockerbie bomb-maker pleads not guilty

The man accused of building the bomb that downed a passenger plane over the Scottish town of Lockerbie in 1988 - killing 270 people - has pleaded not guilty to three charges in federal court. 


Abu Agila Mohammad Mas'ud is charged with two counts of destruction of an aircraft resulting in death and another related count.

Uber reports record revenue

Uber has reported record revenue for last year, avoiding the slowdown that has plagued many tech companies.

The ride sharing firm said it made more than two billion trips in the final quarter of twenty twenty two, the most in its history.

MH17 INVESTIGATION OUT OF LEADS AFTER THREE CONVICTED

An international investigation as to how a passenger plane was shot down over Ukraine in 2014 has concluded there are no more leads to follow — and that there's insufficient evidence to launch any new prosecutions.

The Dutch court leading the investigation has already convicted two Russians and a Ukrainian rebel for shooting down flight MH17, killing all 298 people on board.

Until further evidence is found though, it's suspending the years-long investigation.
