U.N Secretary General, Antonio Guterres for urgent assistance.
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Türkiye and Syria on Monday morning
leaving thousands dead and several injured.
Speaking from the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Bassam

US Navy searches for parts after Chinese balloon shot down
The US military is continuing its search for debris from the suspected Chinese surveillance balloon shot down by American fighter jets on Saturday.
Navy divers are now working to recover remnants off the coast of South Carolina to find more information about the balloon's payload that could provide an insight for US intelligence agencies into China's spying capabilities.
