US House ends Congress by passing $1.7 trillion funding package

The US House of Representatives passed a $1.7 trillion package on Friday, securing federal funding for the next fiscal year and avoiding a partial government shutdown.


It was approved by the Senate on Thursday, and President Joe Biden has pledged to sign the bill into law as soon as it reaches his desk.

Former Alameda Research co-CEO said she hid billions in loans to bankrupt crypto company FTX

The former co-CEO of Alameda Research and a co-founder of FTX research have both pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud.

Meta agrees to $750 million settlement over Cambridge Analytica scandal

Facebook's parent company Meta has agreed to pay $725 million to settle a class action lawsuit accusing the platform of allowing third parties to access user data.


The lawsuit stemmed from revelations in 2018 that the political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica had improperly obtained and used information about Facebook users.

Trump brands Jan 6th investigation report a "witch hunt"

Donald Trump has reacted furiously to the release of the full report from a select committee investigating the January 6th riot at the US Capitol last year, fuming at what he declares a "witch hunt."

Armed Forces personnel keep airports running as Border Force staff strike

Uganda Attacks Displace 8000

UK BORDER FORCE STAFF BEGIN STRIKES
