Inflation rate in Nigeria rose for the 10th consecutive month in November to 21.47 percent, up from 21.09 percent the previous month.

UK Christmas plans at risk as rail strikes continue

Railway workers in the United Kingdom are refusing to work in an ongoing dispute over pay, conditions and lay-offs.


Just one in five trains are expected to run on Friday and Saturday, disrupting work and social plans.


This is the latest in a series of planned strikes in the run-up to Christmas, with nurses, postal workers and Border Force staff among those taking part.

Homes in Scotland without power for days

FRESH STRIKE ACTION IN UK

Weak retail sales report spooks the markets

Biden announces Africa trip as he tries to repair ties with the continent

US President Joe Biden says he intends to visit Africa as he aims to strengthen ties with the continent amid growing influence from China and Russia in the region.
