South Korea's military says the North fired at least three ballistic missiles on Thursday morning local time in the latest escalation of tensions in the region.

It included a long-range rocket that triggered an alert in Japan after it fell into waters off its western coast.

ECB gives European banks deadline for dealing with climate risks

The European Central Bank has told banks across the Eurozone they must be ready to fully manage risks related to climate change by the end 2024. 

The ECB warned banks "have a long way to go" before they are climate proof, and said failure to meet supervisory expectations could result in "enforcement action" against lenders.
