OPEC+ makes biggest cut to oil supplies since the pandemic, despite U.S. pressure

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and Russian-led allies have decided to cut oil production by two million barrels a day.

President Biden has called the decision "shortsighted" at a time when the global economy is dealing with the impacts of Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

U.S. and South Korea launch missiles in response to North Korea

The U.S. and South Korea have conducted a number of military drills in
the wake of North Korea's missile launch.

Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile over Japan for the first time in
five years earlier this week.

Putin formally annexes 4 Ukrainian regions, even as Ukraine's counter-offensive recaptures more territory

Russian President Vladimir Putin has now formally annexed four regions in Ukraine…signing the paperwork that the Kremlin insists makes them part of Russia.


The Russian leader's spokesman said the territories will now be "Russian forever", despite the fact that Ukrainian armed forces have seized some ground back in a lightning counteroffensive this week.
