The New York trial against global financier Tom Barrack is drawing big names, as former U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is testifying as a prosecution witness.

Barrack is accused of acting as a foreign agent for the United Arab Emirates, and trying to influence former President Trump's administration.

South Sudan's government probes five suspected Ebola cases

EU, Israel revive diplomatic talks after decade-long pause

The European Union and Israel are holding talks in Brussels hailed as an opportunity to reset relations after a decade in which the meeting format, known as an association council, was put on pause. 


The two sides are set to discuss trade, climate, energy, health and technology issues – as well as the topic which most divides them: Brussels' accusations that Israel is violating international law through settlements and policies toward Palestinians.

Hurricane Ian rescue operations continue as death toll mounts

Search and rescue operations are continuing in Florida, five days
after Hurricane Ian smashed in the state.

There's still no accurate death toll but estimates put the figure at around 80.

Hundreds of thousands are still displaced and without power.

Indonesia pledges enquiry after soccer tragedy

Eurozone inflation hits new record of 10% in September

Inflation in the Euro area hit 10% in September, a new record replacing the previous all-time high of 9.1% in August.
