Uganda has condemned a resolution by the European Union Parliament seeking to block the construction of the proposed East African Crude Oil Pipeline.
The 3.8-billion-dollar pipeline project is expected to evacuate oil from western Uganda to the Port of Tanga in Tanzania.

The leaders of China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran and other Eurasian nations are gathered in Samarkand, Uzbekistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit.
After a much-anticipated bilateral meeting between President Putin and President Xi Jinping on Thursday, at which the Russian leader acknowledged China had "concerns" about Ukraine, the two leaders will hold separate talks with other counterparts on Friday.

A federal Judge has rejected the US Justice Department's request to resume reviewing classified material it seized from former president Donald Trump's Mar a Lago home.
