Nearly 3,000 people died when hijackers crashed planes into the twin

Tropical storm hits California, increasing wildfire risk

A rare tropical storm has reached Southern California, prompting widespread flood watches across a region that is home to nearly fifteen million people.


High winds from the storm also will also make it more challenging to contain several large wildfires further north.

British embassy in USA welcomes condolences messages

The British embassy in Washington DC has opened its doors to allow members of the public to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II, who died on Thursday, aged 96. 


More than a hundred bunches of flowers have been laid outside the building, around a large coloured stone depiction of the Union flag.
