Pelosi didn't know of Trump aid; Republicans outraged

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she didn't know about the FBI search of former President Donald Trump's Florida home ahead of time.  


The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided Mr Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort on Monday in connection to documents - some of them classified - that he allegedly brought there instead of handing to the National Archives.

Suspected jihadists kill at least 21 in north Mali attack

UK energy bills price cap set to rise even higher in January


The annual price cap for energy bills in the UK will rise to more than 5000 US dollars in January next year - that's according to consultancy firm Cornwall Insight.

Anxious wait begins after EU puts forward “take it or leave it” Iran nuclear deal text

Officials in Brussels are awaiting comments on a "take it or leave it" compromise text aimed at reviving the Iran nuclear deal. 


After days of mediating indirect talks in Vienna between Tehran and Washington, the European Union said decisions must now be taken in capitals.


The Iran nuclear deal, under which sanctions on Iran were eased in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear activities, has been on life support since the US withdrew in 2018.

China conducts second round of military drills around Taiwan with no end date

Taiwan's military began live-fire artillery drills on Tuesday simulating defense of the island according to a spokesperson of the self-ruled island's army.

Three men guilty of federal hate crimes in killing of Ahmaud Arbery sentenced

Two white men who chased and fatally shot an unarmed black man who was jogging in a Georgia neighborhood have been sentenced to life in prison for a second time. A third man, who recorded the attack, has been given a 35 year sentence.

Travis McMichael, Greg McMichael and William Bryan were found guilty in February on federal hate crimes charges in the killing of Ahmaud Arbery. 

They are already serving life sentences for his murder in state prison.
