One person dead in Ghana after contracting monkeypox

Ghana has recorded its first death linked to the Monkeypox disease since the outbreak in the country in June. Officials say they have traced at least 13 people who came in contact with the deceased.

TANZANIA UAE MEAT EXPORTS

Tanzania says it has exported about 10,000 tonnes of meat to the Middle East in the first six months of this year. This is the highest ever recorded. The government says the Middle East is a reliable market as there was only 7,000 tonnes exported during the whole of 2021.

BP triples profits for second quarter of 2022

China conducts military drills off southern coast amid possible Pelosi visit

Far-right militia member sentenced to 87 months for role in Jan. 6th attack

Guy Reffitt - a member of the far-right militia group the Three Percenters - has been sentenced to more than 7 years in prison for his involvement in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The sentence is the longest given to a rioter thus far, but much lighter than the 15 years federal prosecutors were seeking.

Reffitt, who is from Wylie, Texas, is the first Capitol rioter convicted at trial.
