Former UK Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, has announced he would cut taxes further if he is chosen to be the next leader of the Conservative Party.
Mr Sunak is going head-to-head with Foreign Secretary Liz Truss in the leadership contest, which will see the winner replacing Boris Johnson as Prime Minister.
While Mr Sunak had previously held off from announcing drastic tax cuts, the former finance minister has now pledged to cut the basic income tax rate from 20% to 16% within seven years if he makes it into Downing Street.
The bookies' favourite Liz Truss has accused her opponent of 'flip-flopping'.
