North Korea accuses U.S. and allies of forming an 'Asian NATO'

North Korea is accusing the United States, South Korea and Japan of creating an "Asian version of NATO" with a "sinister aim."

The statement was announced on Wednesday, the same day South Korea and Japan are attending NATO's annual summit as observers for the first time.

They are also meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden to discuss North Korea.

South Korea expects highest inflation since global financial crisis

In South Korea, soaring prices of everything from food to services are expected to push inflation to the highest point in a decade.

Former White House aide claims furious Trump assaulted Secret Service agent on Jan 6th

A former top assistant to Donald Trump's White House Chief of Staff has claimed that the President attempted to assault a Secret Service officer who refused to drive him to Capitol Hill on the day of the deadly riots by his supporters last year.

Cassidy Hutchinson told the House of Representatives Select Committee investigating the January 6th uprising that President Trump was infuriated when his security team told him it was too dangerous for him to join armed demonstrators who were storming the Congressional compound.

She claimed that at one point, the President attempted to grab the steering wheel of "The Beast", the armoured limousine that was taking him back to the White House.

Scottish First Minister lays out plans for new independence referendum

Scottish First Minister, Nichola Sturgeon, has laid out plans for another independence referendum next year.

Scotland voted to remain part of the UK in 2014, but now with Brexit done, Ms Sturgeon believes becoming independent would be more beneficial to her country.

Dozens of migrants found dead in a truck outside San Antonio, Texas

At least 46 migrants have been found dead inside an abandoned tractor-trailer in San Antonio, Texas.  And more than a dozen others - including four children - were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
