EU lawmakers reach deal on common charger


EU authorities have reached a deal on a common charger for electronic devices.


By 2024, all mobile phones, tablets and cameras sold in the bloc will need to have a USB type C charger.

GERMAN EXPERTS HELP UKRAINE SAVE CULTURAL ASSETS FROM RUSSIAN ATTACKS

The German Government is promising to help Ukraine archive library collections and other cultural works which are in danger of being destroyed because of Russia's bombardment of the country.

Pope Francis condemns Nigeria church attack as Victims receive treatment in hospital

The attempt to remove him as party leader followed a damning report into parties and gatherings in and around Downing Street during lockdown.

Proud boys' leader and four others indicted in Jan 6 Capitol attack

Johnson survives confidence vote, but suffers substantial rebellion

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has survived again…winning a vote of no confidence in his leadership.


But the Prime Minister faced a significant rebellion, with more than 40 percent of conservative lawmakers voting against him.

UK Chancellor: new energy bills package will have "minimal" impact on inflation

Uncertainty over how UK confidence vote will transpire for Prime Minister Johnson

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing a vote of confidence later, and it's still uncertain exactly what the result might be.


Around about 120 Conservative MPs have pledged their support publicly for him.


But there have been many who have spoken out against Johnson too, including former anti-corruption tsar John Penrose - who has resigned over the past few hours.


He says "it's pretty clear" that the Prime Minister has broken the ministerial code and that he should resign.

Momentum grows on gun control deal in US Congress, despite staunch opposition
