UK Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab has denied speculation Prime Minister Boris Johnson could soon face a vote of no confidence. A growing number of Conservative MPs have been speaking out against Mr Johnson following the publication of a report that detailed events that took place inside Downing Street under Covid19 restrictions. The Prime Minister's standards adviser is also believed to have threatened to resign. Laura Makin-Isherwood reports.

The French interior minister and the sports minister will be questioned by senators on Wednesday / 1 June, as the fallout continues from the fiasco on the night of the Champions League final.

The French government has been criticised for blaming Liverpool supporters with fake tickets for the chaos outside the Stade de France, where police responded with tear gas to the massing of thousands of fans who were denied access at closed gates and turnstiles.
