Arrest of Catholic Church leader in Hong Kong faces condemnation

The White House is leading international condemnation of the arrest in Hong Kong of the city’s head of the Catholic Church. National security police say he’s under investigation for colluding with foreign forces, through his work to support anti-government protesters.

Passenger Jet Veers Off Runway in Chongqing, China

Ukrainian forces say they have recaptured several villages seized by the Russians north of Kharkiv, the country's second most-populous city.


The capture of the villages is a big confidence boost for Ukrainian forces, though it came on the same day that pro-Russian officials in the captured city of Kherson said they plan to ask Vladimir Putin to recognize the region as part of Russian territory.


Sergei Kyslysta is Ukraine's Ambassador to the United Nations and says the country is bracing for a long, grinding conflict.

Settlement Reached in Florida Condo Collapse

US report details Native American children's forced separation and assimilation

UK and Sweden sign landmark security agreement

EU authorities relax mask-wearing recommendations on board flights
