Biden to visit Seoul, Tokyo to dispel nuclear fears

Third civilian evacuation underway in Mariupol, Ukraine

The United Nations has confirmed a third evacuation operation is
underway for civilians in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol.

So far more than 400 people have been helped to safety in the last week.

Recession fears prompt US market drop

$6.5B raised for Ukraine at international pledging conference in Warsaw

Funds totalling 6.5 billion USD were raised for war-torn Ukraine at an international donors' conference on Wednesday, according to the event's co-host Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Republican governors in New England are speaking out in favor of abortion rights

A number of Republican-led states in the U.S. are moving on laws to make abortion more restricted.

On Monday, a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion suggested justices are preparing to overturn Roe v Wade, that proivdes a constitutional right to abortion.

WHO: true pandemic death toll nearly 15 million -- three times higher than official figure

Nearly 15 million people globally have died as a result of COVID-19, according to the World Health Organization. 


That's almost three times more than the number officially recorded, and 13% more deaths than normally expected over two years.

The Bank of England has raised interest rates to 1 percent, the highest level in more than a decade.

India is seeing an uptick in COVID infections

India is seeing another jump in the number of COVID cases. From recording around 2000 cases a day over the past week, the country is now reporting over 3000 fresh daily cases this week.

Russia promises Azovstal plant ceasefire
