RED CROSS: 300 EVACUATED FROM MARIUPOL

The Red Cross says more than 300 civilians have been evacuated from the devastated city of Mariupol.

Ukraine's military says Russian soldiers have now pushed into the territory of a massive steelworks - the last Ukrainian stronghold there.

Moscow's still insisting it never targets residential areas, despite British intelligence suggesting otherwise.

Ukraine's foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba has condemned the Kremlin's behaviour.

US markets rally as Fed increases interest rate in bid to slow inflation

US Stocks jumped sharply on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve raised rates by a widely anticipated half percentage point - and Chairman Jerome Powell ruled out getting even more aggressive in the central bank's inflation-fighting campaign.

Dave Chappelle assaulted during Los Angeles performance

Police in Los Angeles have arrested a man who attacked comedian Dave Chappelle on stage while holding a replica handgun.


The 48 year old performer was unharmed in the incident.

EU plans to ban Russian oil imports as part of fresh sanctions on Moscow
